Our editorial team covers the businesses, regulations, technologies and people shaping international gambling and iGaming.
Coverage includes regulation and licensing, online casino, sports betting, responsible gambling, payments, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, financial results, affiliates, industry appointments, prediction markets and esports betting.
We aim to combine timely reporting with durable reference material that helps readers understand the commercial and regulatory context behind industry developments.

Our main product is the MGA Reviews Licence Checker. It allows users to search for a casino, operator or website and compare the submitted information against official public licensing registers.

Our purpose
Gambling regulation is fragmented across countries, regulators, legal entities, brands and domains. Verifying a licence can require searches across several registers using different formats and terminology.
Our purpose is to make that information easier to find and understand without replacing the underlying regulator or its official records.
Our team
MGA Reviews was founded by Finn Byrne and is developed by an international team of editors, writers, researchers, product specialists and technical contributors.
The team contributes to the project alongside other professional commitments. Our editorial and product work is governed by published standards covering independence, corrections and commercial disclosure.
Oliver Bennett leads editorial coverage and standards. Ethan Cole leads product development. Finn Byrne funds the project’s current operating costs and oversees its overall direction.

Despite its name, MGA Reviews is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Malta Gaming Authority. It is also independent of every other regulator covered by our tools and reporting.
